Makeup Look #7 Shopping Trip! (Using the VS Midnight Jewels Holiday Eye Kit)

Hello senoritas!

So I was in KL last weekend and i met up my friend for a quick shopping trip at our favourite mall, One Utama. FYI, it's like the 7th largest mall in the world. So cool huh? Hehe. Anyways, since i just got the Victoria's Secret Midnight Jewels Holiday Eye kit the day before that, i decided to do a makeup look using that palette. The look is relatively simple. I just used 2 eyeshadows from that palette. I used the colours Quartz and Brushed Gold. Quartz is an off-white shadow and the Brushed Gold is a pale, softer version of a gold colour eyeshadow. This is how i looked that day.

In order to get that eye look, i applied the Quartz eyeshadow all over my eyelid. And then i took the Brushed Gold eyeshadow i applied it on top of the Quartz eyeshadow. After that, i took my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish on my crease area. Then i applied Pearl eyeshadow on my brow bone as a highlight since it's a pretty shimmery white eyeshadow. So that's all for the eyeshadow. I used my Essence SuperFine eyeliner pen on my top lids. I went on top of that line with my Benefit BADgal Waterproof eyeliner pencil. To create the wing effect, i used my SilkyGirl Precision Liquid Liner. I lined half of my waterline with the Benefit pencil liner. And then i lined the rest of my waterline with the Revlon Photoready Kajal pencil in 003 Emerald Green (but i use the nude side of the pencil). This will make my eyes look big. I did fill my eyebrows in with my Bobbi Brown Chocolate Eye Palette. The colour i used is called 'Stone'.

To eventuate my lashes, i used the Victoria's Secret LASH Dare mascara. For my lipstick, i decided to go for a mauve, slightly muted pink colour lips. So i choose the MAC Faux lipstick and i used the NYX Lip Pencil in Natural before that. Lemme know what you girls think about this new lippie of mine. I'm lovin' it so far. It's relatively new since i only got it 2 weeks ago. I've only used it twice so far. Reviews will be up soon!

As for the cheeks, i skipped on the blush and just swiped on some of my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Dark. I know i know, i ALWAYS skip my blush. I promise i'll put on some nice blush on my next makeup look kays? hehe. Sorry girls! So that's it. Makeup done! Check out this weird face i made just so you girls can see my eye makeup more clearer. Don't forget to check out my review on the Victoria's Secret Midnight Jewels Holiday Eye Kit

Victoria's Secret Midnight Jewels Holiday Eye Kit

Hey Gurrrrrrrrrrls

Guess what? Last weekend, i went to KL for a short shopping spree! I went to Victoria's Secret (one of my favourite place to shop) and i finally got the perfume that i was lusting over for months! It's the Noir Sexy Little Things. And omg, this perfume has the sweetest scent ever. Review on this perfume will be coming soon. Be sure to check that out, kays? Hehe. Anyways, they were having a Christmas and Holiday promotion. Guess what i bought? I got the Midnight Jewels Holiday Eye Kit. And so far i am lovin' it to bits.

Okay, but i gotta admit, that i bought the eye kit on impulse because the packaging is so PRETTY! It comes in a glittery pink box (though it looks purple in the pictures but, trust me, it's not purple. It's pink). Who can resist that? You tell me, who can resist buying something so pretty and girly and (come on) it's Victoria's Secret! So yeah. I bought it. But i would say it's a good buy because i got 10 eyeshadows, a brush and an eyeliner pencil for only RM 129. Compared to MAC's eyeshadow which are like RM 68 for one colour. But obviously MAC eyeshadow qualities are better because they specialize in makeup unlike VS.

Anyways, this palette consists of 10 eyeshadows. Even though in the VS official website stated that the palette consists of matte and shimmery eyeshadow, in reality, the palette only has shimmery and glittery eyeshadow colours. None of the eyeshadow looks matte to me. I know, what you girls are thinking. I have always rant about how i hate shimmery makeup. But what can i say? This palette is too gorgeous for me to say no. The eyeshadow colours are mainly divided to 2 part ; lights eyeshadows (the top row) and dark eyeshadows (the bottom row). I'm assuming that they wanted to do the whole day and night concept. So far, i'll say that i'm liking these eyeshadows. They are relatively pigmented when you use an eyeshadow primer before applying them.

The consistency of these eyeshadows can be quite powdery. But then again, i don't find that much of a problem because i always do my eye makeup first before apply any other makeup such as foundation or concealer on my face. So, technically i do have to wipe off any eyeshadow fallouts on my face. The palette comes with a relatively big mirror which is shown in the picture above. My favourite eyeshadow colour from the palette would definitely have to be Diamond, Ruby and Sapphire.

Close Up Picture of the Palette :)
The Eyeliner pencil has a very creamy formula. it's easy to apply and the black colour is very intense. It is smudge-able. So, the colour is obviously not long lasting. But it's very suitable for smokey eye looks and also if you're looking for a smoked out lower lash look. I'm liking this eyeliner. Except of course i'm not going to use it when i'm going to wear my makeup for long hours because this eyeliner will definitely smudge.

So, that's all. I've decided to swatch all the eyeshadow colours on my arms so that all of you can see the true colours of the eyeshadows. I did use an eyeshadow primer before swatching all these colours in order to get a better colour payoff. See how beautiful these colours are? I'm be doing a makeup look using this palette soon.

I know it's messy :P SORRY!

Let me know your opinion on this palette. Till the next post then. I love you all, my fellow readers! Happy Holidays!

Makeup Look #6 Blue Eye Makeup (Using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo)

Ola girls!

I just got these fabulous Maybelline Colour Tattoos from the Guardian Store near my house. I got only 2 colours because i wasn't sure if i would actually like them. I got them in the shades Emerald Green and Tenacious Teal. What can i say? I am lovin' them so much! I'm planning on getting the natural colours too. Will do a whole separate review on these Colour Tattoos. So be sure to check them out. Today i decided to do a makeup look using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Teancious Teal. It's this absolutely gorgeous teal coloured cream shadow.

First i applied the Colour tattoo on my eyelids with my finger. And then i applied my Essence eye primer on the rest of my eye area till my brow bone. Then i took my BH Cosmetics 88 matte eyeshadow and applied a navy blue colour to the outer half of my eyelids. Then i take a blue shadow from the palette (this looks like the colour tattoo except it's matte) and put it in the inner corners of my eyes as well as the tear duct area of the lower lids. Then i take a shimmery blue shadow and put it on the middle area of the eyelid. So the shimmery colour goes between the blue shadow and the navy blue shadow. After that, i take the navy blue shadow again and put it on my crease area. Then i take a black shadow from my BH palette and put it on the v-shaped area of the outer corners to form a winged out shadow look. Blend everything well.

Then i do the usual highlighting of my brow bone with a gold-coloured shadow. And then i lined my top lids with the Essence eyeliner pen. I wanted to do my signature wings, so i used the SilkyGirl Liquid liner for that. Then i lined my lower lids with some of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo with an eyeliner brush. Then i take a black eyeliner pencil and line half of the lower lids. To make my eyes look bigger, i used the Revlon Photoready Kajal pencil which has to ends; one in green and the other one is a pretty nude colour. I lined my waterline with that nude colour.

I wanted pretty obvious lashes without having to use fake lashes. So i used one coat of my Victoria's Secret LASH Dare mascara to give it a very defined look. And then i topped it off with my Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express for more volume.

I did something different with the lips this time. I filled my lips with the MAC Lip Pencil in Stripdown which is a super gorgeous brown colour and then i applied my new lipstick which is the MAC Creme D'Nude. Okay, this is the new part! I actually topped this with a lip gloss. Whoa, right? I mean, most of you would know that i almost NEVER use lip gloss before. But i wanted to give it a try. So i used my MAC Cremesheen Gloss in Fashion Whim (which is also new) to glam up the whole look! I can safely say that i'll definitely be buying more lip glosses from today onwards. I'm in love with this lip gloss! The colour is just this pretty nude peach. Again, reviews on this lip products will be coming soon too. So stay tuned and follow my blog. Hehee.

Hope you girls like this fun, party look and will wanna try this look. If you have any questions on how to do this makeup look, please feel free to ask me in the comment section or just send me an email. I'll respond as soon as i can. So yeah. That's all.

You girls can obviously add fake lashes if you want

The whole Lip Pencil, Lipstick and Lip Glass look. Lovin' this combo now :D

Makeup Look #5 Interview Makeup

Hi Girlies:

Since lately I've been going to some interviews, it will only be appropriate if i do an 'Interview Makeup' look. I know some of you don't believe in wearing makeup for work but i personally think that wearing a lil bit of makeup gives you this more professional-like look! Well, that's just my opinion. You girls can totally go makeup-less if that's what you're most comfortable with. So yeah.

I usually do like a light makeup whenever i go for my interviews because obviously, wearing too much makeup can make you look like a tarty person. And though it's not right to judge a person by their outer appearance, in reality, people really do judge. Especially interviewers looking to hire a new employee. So my advice is, keep it simple. Don't go with a bold lipstick. You can always make a statement later went you're out with your girlfriends celebrating on your new found job!

What i like to do is, use a powder foundation. That gives you a more matte finish to your face. A liquid foundation may look a little too heavy but then again, it totally depends on your foundation itself. I know some liquid foundation that looks extremely natural. But for interviews, i always use my MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation. That powder is awesome as it gives me a medium coverage and it makes my face look matte. Plus, I don't look like i have a tonne of makeup on.

Next thing to take note is the eyeliner. Use only a LITTLE BIT of eyeliner. Don't go overboard with the liner, please! It will just make you look like a college student fooling around instead of a mature, intelligent woman looking for a job. I usually keep it simple by lining on my top lid with the Essence Superfine Eyeliner pen. I like this eyeliner for interviews because it creates a super thin line which is perfect for this occasion when i want to look simple and sophisticated.

Applying a bit of mascara is always fine. Except don't go crazy with the amount you put on. Stop with just 1 mascara. Trust me, you don't want those clumping lashes that you usually sport when you hit the clubs, for an interview. After all, you want to look smart, not ditzy or vain. For my cheeks, I'm not going to apply any blush. I'm just going to apply my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish on my cheeks to give me some colour without looking overdone.

For my lips, I'm going to use the Topshop lipstick in Whimsical. It's a nice nude coral colored lipstick which looks very natural and simple. So that about it. This is how I usually do my makeup whenever I go for an interview. Obviously I do change my lipstick colors but I only stick to the neutral colour range. I don't go crazy.  Anyways, for you girls who are going for interviews and all, I wish you all the best! Go achieve your dreams and goals in life.

This is a picture of my interview makeup! How do I look?

My very simple Interview Makeup Look

As you can see, this lipstick is sort of semi-opaque. It's not full coverage!

Anyways, hope you guys liked it. Till another post then! Much love from me <3

Cotton On Haul (Shoes + Cardigans)

Ola guys!

I'm gonna do a small haul post today. I wanna talk about the recent items that i got from Cotton On. I bought these items a week before Diwali. But i'm pretty sure these items can still be found at all Cotton On stores in Malaysia. I actually just got 2 flats and 2 long cardigans. It was on a discount, hence, i got two cardigans for RM 80 and two flats for RM 60. These prices are reasonable to me when i compare it to Dorothy Perkins and Vincci (for the flats).

The first flat is a nude-beige flat with a thin ribbon bow. I'm really lovin' these flats so much because it looks super feminine (matches my personality) and the colour is super pretty. And besides, i have no neutral, beige colour flats. I have neutral coloured heels but not flats. So when i saw this flats, i knew i had to have them. I wear a size 37. However, for this flats, the size 37 was a little bit too tight on my feet. But I went ahead and got it because Cotton On flats have the tendency to expand, based on my previous experiences. And also because the size 38 was too darn big!

The second purchase is a barbie pink pointy flats. It is made from like cotton-like material. It's really comfortable. So i'm liking it (or else i wouldn't have bought it). This size 37 fits me perfectly. Plus i can wear it with a lot of my clothes as i have many pink/pastel clothing. And i don't have pink flats as the ones i was using finally tore. The pink flats are shown in the picture below.

The next purchase i got is the cardigans; one in maroon and the other in a white-and-blue stripes. I like both of these cardigans as it is long and covers my butt. That means i can actually wear them with my leggings and long tank top (also covering the butt). I can also wear it my denim shorts and a short tank top though the cardigan might be longer than the length of my shorts. These cardigans are pretty enough to be worn with dresses as well. Sometimes when i'm feeling modest, i can always just throw it on. It can look dressy as well as casual too. So, i'm surely lovin' these cardigans. I accessorizes the cardigan with my long necklace with the owl pendant and then pair them with small black stud earrings.

The Maroon/Mauve coloured Cardigan with my long owl necklace

The Cotton On promotion is still on now, girls! So, if you're liking what you see here, then rush to the nearest Cotton On store and pick up the items that you desire. That's all that i got from Cotton On. Will update you girls if i decide to get more items from there.

Till the next post then! :)

The Body Shop Vanilla Perfume Review

Hello, my fellow beautiful readers!

Today i'm going to do another perfume post because i just got this super nice perfume from Body Shop. I personally think that The Body Shop has really lovely perfumes and body mist. That's kind of obvious, because the moment you step into the store, you're greeted with a mix scent of vanilla, strawberry, cocoa butter and many other awesome aroma! And you girl must probably know that i'm a sucker for anything vanilla scented. So no prizes for guessing what i got. I bought the The Body Shop Vanilla perfume. And i also added the Vanilla Bath & Shower gel because it was tiny and cute and also handy.

The Body Shop Vanilla perfume has a strong classic vanilla scent. Since it's purely vanilla, the scent is relatively strong and sweet in that sugary-diabetic kinda way! I really like it because i'm such a sucker for vanilla smelling perfumes. I think it's a girly scent. So for those girls out there, that prefers a more mature, sexy perfume, this is definitely not for you. Probably younger girls would like this perfume. It's more for 16 to 21 years range. I'm 23 but i like it so much. So whatever. At the end of the day, it depends on your personal preference.

I got the perfume for RM 49.90 for only 30ml. So i do think this is kinda pricey? Because 30ml is so little. If i were to use this perfume on a daily basis, it would probably last me for 2 months. The reason i got this perfume is for me to use it when i'm going out to the grocery store, or a quick trip to the mall or even just to use it at home when you've just showered and wanna smell nice! So that's that.

The Vanilla Bath & Shower gel is good too. It smells amazing and it leaves your skin feeling well moisturized. This miniature shower gel is originally priced at RM 12.90. Since they were 50% off, i got them for only RM 6.50. It definitely will come in handy if you're travelling or ig you want to shower at the gym after a workout session. Because, based on my experience, the soaps that are provided in the gym are nasty! And i go to Celebrity Fitness. You would think a well-reputable gym would provide more nicer soaps. So yeah. That is why i love these miniature soaps!

I don't think The Body Soap is still having sale though. But their limited edition Christmas sets are available right now. There are new Gingerbread and Strawberry body butters and shower gels. Do check it out. I might actually get them. I need a new body scrub since my Moringa Body Scrub is almost empty! Time for a new one. Will definitely do a haul if i get those. Toddles for now, girls!

Happy Season is coming soon ~

Love ya all <3

MAC Lipsticks Finishes (Types of MAC lipsticks!)

Hello girls!

So, many of my friends have been asking me about the different kind of MAC lipstick finishes. Therefore, today's post is going to be on that. I'm going to explain all the types of finishes of the MAC lipstick. I'm not sure if you would have noticed that in MAC counter, their lipsticks are arranged according to their finishes. Okay, first what is a 'finish'? A lipstick finish is the look or texture of a certain lipstick when it is applied on the lips. MAC cosmetics have in total 7 types of finishes; Matte, Retro Matte, Satin, Amplified, Cremesheen, Frost and Lustre.

Matte Finish

  • The lipstick is very long lasting
  • Colour payoff of the lipstick is very good. It is very pigmented
  • You definitely need to apply a lip balm/lip moisturizer before applying this lipstick as it may be drying.
  • Has a very good coverage. That means it is opaque.
  • People with pigmented lips should try this finish.
  • Certain colours from the matte finish can be a lil bit hard to apply as the lipstick formula is not moisturizing. Though some of them can be smooth to apply
  • Eg. MAC Please Me, MAC Diva, MAC Chili, MAC Honey Love, MAC Cozy Up and more

  • This lipstick is very long lasting
  • Colour payoff is good as it is very pigmented.
  • MUST apply a lip balm as this finish is the most drying finish among all the other MAC Lipstick.
  • Definitely not suitable for girls with chapped lips as it will eventuate those lines on your lips even more and it makes your lips look dehydrated.
  • Has a good coverage and it is opaque.
  • Girls with pigmented lips should try this lipstick because it is full coverage.
  • It is very hard to apply this lipstick as the formula is very dry and the lipstick finish can apply to be chalky (esp. MAC Steady Going)
  • Eg. MAC Relentlessly Red, MAC Flat Out Fabulous, MAC Dangerous, MAC Ruby Woo and more

Satin Finish

  • Relatively long lasting though not as long lasting as the Matte one.
  • Great colour payoff
  • Has a very good pigmentation. The colour is opaque.
  • This finish is long lasting and also a lil moisturizing.
  • It does not make your lips dry or look dehydrated.
  • Has a full coverage so it is suitable for girls with pigmented lips too.
  • Optional if you want to apply a lip balm before application of lipstick.
  • Easy to apply this lipstick as the texture is smooth and not hard.
  • Personally, i would consider this finish is best. It is my favourite finish.
  • Eg. MAC Siss, MAC Faux, MAC Pink Nouveau, MAC Brave, MAC Rebel and more.

Amplified Finish

  • This is a very moisturizing finish.
  • Not as long lasting as the matte or satin finish.
  • Has relatively good pigmentation. The colour is relatively opaque.
  • It definitely does not make your lips dry.
  • I would say that this finish is a combination is between satin finish and cremesheen finish.
  • It is still suitable for girls with pigmented lips.
  • No need to apply a lip balm before using this lipstick.
  • Girls that like to apply a lipgloss over their lipstick will like this type of finish because it does look a lil creamy
  • The texture of the lipstick is soft therefore, making it very easy to apply.
  • Eg. MAC Impassioned, MAC Up the Amp, MAC Morange and many more.

Cremesheen Finish

  • A very moisturizing finish.
  • It looks very creamy and glossy.
  • Again, girls that love to put lipgloss on their lipstick will love this finish as this finish gives that very look with you them having to apply a lipgloss.
  • Has a moderate pigmentation. The colour is not opaque but more of a semi-opaque look.
  • Not suitable for girls with pigmented lips. If you have pigmented lips and still one to wear them, make sure you use a concealer or just fill in your lips with lip liner first before applying the lipstick.
  • Obviously, it is not long lasting. You need to reapply it after meals etc.
  • No need for a lip balm.
  • It is very creamy to apply making it easy for application.
  • Eg. MAC Creme D' Nude, MAC Creme Cup, MAC Shy Girl and many more.

Frost Finish

  • A quite moisturizing finish as well.
  • It looks very sheer and shimmery with a frost-like appearance.
  • It's not creamy looking. More of a frosty looking with some golden/silver sheen to it
  • Very suitable for girls who likes glittery stuff. Girls that like their lips to be glittery and shiny.
  • It is not pigmented.
  • It is not long lasting as well.
  • No need for a lip balm
  • Again, if you have pigmented lips, fill in your lips with a lip liner before applying this lippie.
  • Eg. MAC Angel, MAC Who's That Chick, MAC Frenzy, MAC Delish and many more.

Lustre Finish

  • The most moisturizing finish among all the MAC finishes
  • It looks very sheer with no shimmer
  • Very natural looking.
  • Almost looks like you're wearing a lip gloss.
  • Suitable for girls that are just starting to wear lipsticks and makeup. My first MAC lipstick was a Lustre lipstick.
  • It is not pigmented at all. It's not at all opaque.
  • It is also not long lasting
  • Not much colour payoff.
  • It's easy to apply as the texture of the lipstick is smooth.
  • Girls with pigmented lips please refer to the above statement on what to do if you still want to wear this lipstick.
  • You definitely don't need a lip balm with this lipstick.
  • Eg. MAC Freckletone, MAC Plumful, MAC High Tea, MAC Hug Me and plenty more

That's all, girls! I hope this explanation was useful and you girls now have a general idea of what these finishes mean if you're into MAC lipsticks. So the next time you step into a MAC store, at least you'll know which lipsticks will be more suitable for you. You won't end up buying something that you don't like. So anyways, it's always up to your own personal preference on what lipsticks suits you best. You can always make anything work for you if you have the confidence to pull it off.

Much love from ME <3

My Favourite Real Techniques Makeup Brushes

Hello makeup lovers!

Today i wanna talk about makeup brushes. I know many of you wouldn't be using a proper brush to put on your makeup. Maybe because you don't know which brush is suitable or maybe because you don't know how to use it. Well, no more worries. I'm here to guide you with that. I have 3 Real Techniques brushes, 2 which i recently got. I got the stippling brush, the blush brush and the setting brush. I usually get my Real Techniques brushes from Shins store which can be found in most of the malls in Malaysia.

The Stippling brush
This is of course my favourite brush to apply liquid and gel foundation. It is made out of synthetic fibers of the finest quality to ensure the softness of the bristles. I first saw this brush in one of the YouTube makeup gurus. All of them seem to recommend this brush when it comes to applying your foundation. Apparently it makes the application easy and you will get a more flawless finish to your face. So, i had to go out and get them. I just bought one brush at first to test it out. Anyways, I usually use this brush to apply my MAC Studio Sculpt foundation all over my face. This brush will give you a very natural finish as it doesn't leave any brush marks on your face. It also makes me use less foundation as it gives me a nice, even coverage by using less product. I definitely recommend this product to girls that use liquid or gel foundation. It is retailed at RM 78. It's kinda expensive but when i compare it to MAC brushes, this is cheaper and also way better. Think of this as an investment since the brush quality is really good. It will definitely last for a long time.

The Blush brush

This is a new brush of mine. I got it a few weeks ago and i can't lie. I'm already lovin' it. This is the ultimate blush brush of all time. For you girls out there that are having difficulties in applying your blush, you have to get this brush! It is shaped in a way for a more precise blush application. It looks like a fluffy tapered brush. The bristles are soft as usual (All real techniques brushes are) and it feels so gentle against your skin. To be honest, I wouldn't say that i'm a pro at applying a blush. I usually finally it hard so i usually skip this step. But now, with the help of this brush, omg. It's like magic! Plus, these brushes are easy to wash and there are no fallouts after that. This brush is also retailed at RM 78.

The Setting brush

This is also one of the relatively new brushes that i got. Among all three of these brushes, this is the one i use the least. I only use this brush to apply my highlighter. And obviously, i don't use my highlighter on a daily basis or even weekly basis. I'v only use this brush like twice. First time was when i was reviewing the Topshop Highlighter in Crescent Moon and the other time was when i was going out to dinner. The brush is really good and if you're the kind of girl that likes to use a highlighter, i strongly recommend you get this brush coz it is the bomb! It's small and fluffy at the same time. So it's perfect when it comes to highlighting your cheekbones and the arches of your eyebrows and also the bridges of your nose. But it is kinda pricey for a smaller brush. It's retailed at RM 58. If you're not into highlighters, then i say, skip this brush.

And that's all! Those are the reasons why i love the Real Techniques brushes so much. They are well know for their awesome quality and also for the unique way that they are shaped as! Well, once again, i hope this was helpful to any of you who are planning on investing in some really good makeup brushes.

Love you all <3

The Best Liquid Liner EVER ~ SilkyGirl Precision Liquid Eyeliner

What's up, girls!

I have always been raving about the one and only Silky Girl Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Waterproof. This is my holy grail liquid liner. It's the best, according to me because it is easy to use and it has a matte finish. I don't know if you've noticed but most high end liquid liner has a glossy finish to it. I don't know, maybe most people like their liquid liner to be glossy-looking or something. But that's not for me. I don't know if I've mentioned earlier, but i totally hate anything glossy/shiny/glittery/shimmery  Of course, occasionally, i don't mind wearing glitter or some shimmer on my face. But definitely not everyday. I just prefer my whole face looking matte. Although that is difficult because i have such oily skin. Below is a picture of the liquid liner.

The felt-tip applicator.

As i have mentioned above, i love this liquid liner because it is relatively easy to use. Before discovering this liner, I've tried many other liquid liner but failed to use many of them because of how hard it is to use it. I would definitely recommend this liner to beginners. This liquid liner has a felt tip applicator which makes it so much more easier to apply compared to the retractable pen-like liners. The colour of the product is so pigmented and black. It is like the most blackest liner I've ever seen. Plus, it glides on easily on the skin. It do takes time to dry. It takes around 1 to 2 minutes to dry.

The price of this Silky Girl Precision Liner is only RM 17.90. That is very cheap to me. RM 17.90 for such an amazing product? Plus, one tube lasts me up to 6 months or more. Especially since i only use it to create the wing effects of my eyeliner looks. Yup, that's right, i only use it to draw the wing are of my eyeliner looks. Except if i'm wearing an eyeshadow. Then i would actually line my whole top lid with this liquid liner because pencil liners usually don't glide on eyeshadow very well. The best is to use either a liquid or gel liner. I prefer liquid to gel anyways.

Here is a swatch of it on my hand. Notice how pigmented it is?

The only downfall of this product (but personally, i don't think it's a downfall but others might consider) is that it's not actually waterproof. Even though it states on the tube that it is waterproof, but it is actually not. I noticed that this liner comes off very easily with water. You don't even need to use soap to take it off because it melts off whenever it comes into contact with water. I don't know if it's sweat-proof, but as for me, it lasts the whole day. Like this liner will stay put in one place till you wash it off with water. I actually like it that way. I hate eyeliners that are so difficult to remove and actually leaves a stain on your eyes. That's like a big NO NO for me.

I was introduced to this liner by my best friend in university. She was always using this product back then. I was at her place one day and then i saw her applying her eyeliner. It was in a liquid form and it was matte. Plus the colour payoff was super black and intense. I asked her what brand was it, expecting her to mention a higher end brand. But she said "It's just some brand called 'SilkyGirl', babe." The first thing i did after that was go to the mall and got myself a tube of this liner and boy was i impressed! It was so impressive. And it's SilkyGirl! It's a Malaysian brand cosmetics. That's another plus point. I had no idea SilkyGirl had such awesome cosmetics! Like my sister swore by their blushers. She absolutely love them! Imma try some too soon. Right now i have plenty of products to finish up so i don't think, i'll be getting any new items.

And here's a picture of me using only the Silky Girl Precision Liquid Liner.

LOL, excuse my lack of makeup here! I was just going to the mall with my mum. Hence, only wearing my eyeliner (as in the SilkyGirl Precision Liquid Liner) and lip balm! :P
That's all for now, girlies! :)

Much love from me! <3

INNER BEAUTY ~ The Most Important Thing for Every Individual :D

Hello People!

Hi. As you can see the title already, today i'm gonna address a few issues that have been happening around me. Obviously this isn't going to be a beauty post. Haha. Well, there is a small group of people who totally misunderstood the purpose of my blog. Yes, true. I have a beauty blog. I teach people of how to use certain products, or how to do your eyeliner, or i do reviews on latest cosmetics in the market. In no way EVER, my blog is saying that OUTER beauty is more important than INNER beauty. Just because i have a beauty blog, it does not mean i don't believe in inner beauty. My gosh, some people are really judgmental and that pisses me off so much. I'm surprised at how people are quick to judge others.

I have NEVER once mentioned in my blog that outer beauty is everything. I have never urged girls out there to plaster either face with thick makeup nor I have ever asked girls to wear makeup everyday. Check my blog. Read the posts. I have never said that. I'm here to just help girls out there who wants to learn how to wear makeup in a proper way. Even so, i'm not calling myself as an expert. I'm no expert in makeup. I always mention in my blog that i suck with eyeshadow. I can never get that stuff done properly. I have NEVER described any specific face structures, nose shape, body size or any skin tone as superior to the other. People should stop putting words into my mouth.

What i AM saying is the purpose of my blog is to EDUCATE people on makeup related stuff like how to apply a certain product or what kind of makeup is suitable for certain events etc. It is meant to be an educational blog. For girls out there, who wants to know what kind of makeup is suitable for her graduation or when she wants to go to a certain party or even what kind of outfit she should wear when she is heading out for an event. I'm here just to teach girls like that on how to do it properly. No where in this blog have i ever mentioned that all girls must wear makeup 24/7. I don't even believe in wearing makeup all the time. I believe that makeup shouldn't hide your face. It should just enhance your features which are already beautiful.

I only wear makeup for work or when i'm going somewhere nice with my girls and we are gonna take pictures. Even so, people aren't supposed to judge someone just because they wear a bit of makeup. Wearing makeup DOES NOT make you a shallow person. It DOES NOT make you someone who judges people based on their outer appearance. It DOES NOT make you a person who has no inner beauty. Some girls that read my blog has told me that now they feel more confident with just a swipe of lipgloss or lipstick. Or even just wearing a little bit of eyeliner gives them a huge confidence boost! So this is what i want to do. Help girls out there who has no confidence to gain a lil bit of confidence by enhancing certain features like their eyes with mascara etc. I'm DEFINITELY not telling them to hide their face with a layer of makeup all the time. But just to embrace the beauty that they already have because i believe that everyone is beautiful in their own special way. It's no harm in making girls feel confident.

Likewise, just because i have a beauty blog it does not mean in any ways that i don't believe in inner beauty. In fact I think inner beauty is a very essential quality that every has to possess. You can be the most prettiest supermodel in the world. But if you're a horrible person in the inside, you're not a beautiful person. I don't really care what ignorant people think of me because my friends and family know that i'm a person who believes in inner beauty and not just outer beauty. My girls know me so well, that they think it's so ridiculous that people will make those kind of comments about my blog. So that's what that is the most important to me. People who know me personally will know how i really am. That's all that matters to me!

So again, don't judge a book by its cover. Or blog for that matter. LOL. If you like judging people based on the amount of makeup they wear, then the problem is just you. Maybe you have some insecurities or issues that you need to deal with. Because judging someone DOES NOT MAKE YOU BETTER in any way. People who make it their personal aim in life to judge others should look in the mirror and ask yourself if you have INNER BEAUTY. Judging someone in any way, does not make you a nice person. So yeah. Just saying.

Anyways, to the rest of the girls out there, thank you girls for supporting my blog! It really means the world to me that you actually take the time to read my blog posts. I love you all! You guys are the best! :)

Lots of love from me! <3

Review : MAC Flat Out Fabulous lipstick (Retro Matte range)

Ola girls!

As i promised in my MAC Retro Matte Lipsticks review, that i will do an individual review on the MAC Flat Out Fabulous lipstick. So here i am, doing it. I finally got hold of the lipstick and also the time to write a review on it. This lipstick is the BOMB! I am lovin' this baby right here! The colour is just gorgeous. It's the perfect shade of pink and berry. It is obviously from the Retro Matte range which was introduced by MAC a few months ago. And this is the lipstick that i have been dying to try. There is even a story behind it.

I went to the Tebrau City mall in Johor Bahru a few months ago when the Retro Matte line was introduced. I bought 4 lipsticks ; MAC Relentlessly Red, MAC Dangerous, MAC Ruby Woo and MAC Steady Going. I couldn't buy the MAC Flat Out Fabulous lipstick because it was too fabulous that it was completely sold out! So, i was so heartbroken as i actually liked this lipstick the most among all the rest from that Retro Matte range. So, i called my bestie, who is in KL at that time (now she is back in JB with me, YAY) about the new awesome lipsticks that are out. So, my friend being the fashion lover that she is, wanted to check it out ASAP. I told her then about how i totally love this MAC Flat Out Fabulous but it is sold out in the malls in JB. And guess what? She told me that she would get it for me if the MAC store in KL had it. And they DID! So my friend got it for me and then i went to KL to get it and now i'm here with the lipstick. Big thanks to my bestie! :)

Let's get to it! MAC Flat Out Fabulous is the perfect shade of the colour pink and berry. It can look pink at times but it's mainly a pretty vibrant plum as well. It does have a slight blue undertone. This lipstick has a retro matte finish. Which is supposed to be a 'moisturizing' version of the normal matte lipstick but i wouldn't agree with that because this lipstick is kinda drying if you wear it for a long period. But you can always use a lip balm or lip moisturizer before applying this on. Applying it was easy and smooth. The colour is opaque and very pigmented. The colour is vibrant and suitable for any event. Plus i love the scent of this lipstick. It has the signature MAC lipstick vanilla scent. Totally awesome!

MAC Flat Out Fabulous is very long lasting. When i was using it, i didn't have to retouch it at all. It lasted me for more than 8 hours. That is very good for a lipstick. It also does not leave a stain on my lips which i like. I don't really fancy lipsticks that leave a stain on your lips. From the Retro Matte range, only the MAC Relentlessly Red leaves a stain on your lips. The rest of them don't. Anyways, this is the close up picture of my lips and the swatch on my hand (Please ignore my super dry hand. I've been lazy to apply my hand cream regularly).

I personally think that this lippie is versatile. You can certainly use it with a heavy eye makeup or a simple eyeliner do. It goes well with cooler tone eyeshadows. When i use this lipstick, i get so many compliments from people saying that it is so pretty and that the colour is just amazing. Anybody can pull this colour off, irregardless of your skintone, age or hair colour/ eye colour. And this is me wearing the one and only MAC Flat Out Fabulous! How do you think i look?

So, what cha waiting for girls? Go get this awesome lipstick and it will rock your world! ;)

Btw, check out my Top 5 Favourite Pink Lipsticks if you haven't read it yet! I also my other MAC lipsticks reviews such as the MAC Diva, MAC Creme D'Nude, and MAC Cozy Up.

Thanks girlies for reading my blog! I love you all <3

Review : The Face Shop Nail Polish

Hi Peeps :)

It's time for another nail post! It's been a long time since I've posted about nails. The last time was when i posted about the Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover which is a fab product by the way. So anyways, I'm currently loving the nail polish from The Face Shop. The Face Shop is a Korean brand cosmetics store. It's definitely not a drugstore brand as its cosmetics can be quite expensive. Their nail polishes aren't that expensive though. The price range for their nail polishes are from RM 6.90 to RM 15++. So it's still reasonable. I bought 3 nail polishes last week in City Square mall in Johor Bahru again. The Face Shop was having a store wide discount. So the nail polishes were on discount, buy 2 free 1 bottle. Isn't that a good deal?

So i got nail polishes in the colours called BL607, BL604 (a navy blue colour) and PK112 (bright pink). I'm going to be talking about the BL607 which is a beautiful turquoise colour. As some of you may know, I'm usually a pastel pink, lilac and red kinda girl. I always only use pinks, pastels and reds for my nail colour. So the other day, when i saw that The Face Shop was having a discount, i thought, why not try to be funky this time? After all it's only RM 6.90. This can be like a trial and error thing. Obviously i'll never get colours which are too bold for me from OPI. Those nail polishes are expensive! I can't risk RM 68 for a colour which i'm not so sure of.

I'm surprised with myself because i really like this turquoise colour! It's fun, youthful and super cool. Though it might not be work-appropriate. That's why i'm testing it out now. It's more suitable for like college or if you're ACTUALLY working at a super cool office. Then why not? Besides the colour, this nail polish really impressed me in terms of it's lasting power. It literally lasted on my fingernails for like 6 days without chipping off. That is like an awesome quality to me because usually my Elianto nail polishes will only last maximum 5 days without chipping. Most of them would have already start chipping on the 4th day itself.

The Face Shop nail polish also has a great formula as it dries relatively fast. So this makes application very easy. i didn't have to wait a long time before i applied the second coat of nail polish. The first coat dried very fast. So i could apply the second coat smoothly! And plus the colour pay off of this nail polish is very good. It's opaque as i only needed to apply 2 coats to achieve that perfect manicure look.

Ostensibly, I love this nail polish. I will definitely be getting more polishes from The Face Shop in the future. If you girls are looking for cheaper alternative to the OPI or China Glaze nail polishes, be sure to check the Face Shop nail polishes out. They have a huge range of colours out there. Have a nice day, lovelies! :)

Review : Inglot Stage Sport Studio Mattifying Pressed Powder

Hi girls!

How many of you girls suffer from oily skin? I know i do. My skin is actually very complex. I always had oily skin. However, when i was on Roaccutane, my skin became very dry. Well. that was what it was supposed to do anyways. To dry out all the oil glands that causes excess oils that causes pimples and acne. So well i was on Roaccutane, i had super dry skin. Hence, i bought a foundation that is moisturizing and hydrating for the skin. But now, after finishing my 6 months medication with Roaccutane, my skin cleared up and it has stopped being so dry and flaky. My skin is back to itself oily self but this time with no pimples thanks to the good ol' Mr Roaccutane! Post on this will be coming soon.

The problem now is that my usual foundation (MAC Studio Sculpt) is too moisturizing and hydrating for my skin. It makes my skin shiny and too dewy for my liking. But i had already bought like another brand new tube of it. And MAC foundations are expensive! So i have no choice but to use it. So anyways, the other day, i was at the mall with my mum, we walked by Inglot Cosmetics and i stopped a new product by them. It is the Inglot Stage Sport Studio Mattifying Pressed Powder. They were available in 3 different shades ; White, Banana and Beige. It is retailed at RM 85.

Anyways, this pressed powder comes in a glossy compact which is nice because it's easy to carry around in your handbag and it to clean to use. This pressed powder is supposed to absorb excess oil on your skin in order to give you a more matte look. However, it does not actually work THAT well. In fact, for me, it does work well at all. Firstly, in order for you to actually achieve a bit of matte-ness on the face, you have to put on a lot (and i mean, A LOT) of powder on your face. And packing on a lot of powder on top of your foundation will make your face look cakey and heavily made up which is not attractive. However, it is non-comeodogenic which means it does not cause skin breakouts which is good. And it is also paraben free.

Secondly, even though it says that it is a translucent powder (which means it has a colourless/transparent finish) it does leave your face with a yellow-ish tint (if you get the shade Banana) and that just doesn't work with me. It's a big no no! I thought it was going to be transparent as how the sales girl in Inglot told me that it would be. So that's another minus point. But for those of you that wanna try this product, i suggest that the fairer skin girls should try the shade white. Whereas, the darker skin girls should go with beige. Because those two shades are more natural than the yellow shade that i got.

This is the texture of the powder on my finger.

It also don't control oil (unless you're willing to pack on loads and loads of product on your face till it looks cakey) on your face. It doesn't it last up to 2 hours. Your face will be just the same way if you just apply a normal amount of powder to the skin. It will get oily same way as if you did not apply the pressed powder at all. Another downfall of this product is that it does not come with a brush. Normally, i wouldn't mind but since this product sucks so bad, it should at least, come with a brush.

Therefore, i find this product a total waste of money and i definitely will not be repurchasing it. Though i feel that it may work for girls that have not-so-oily skin. Maybe if you have combination skin you may wanna give this product a try. But for girls with very oily skin, i think you should give this pressed powder a pass. Or maybe you could try the loose powder version of this Inglot Stage Sport Studio Mattifying Powder line! Because apparently that is much more suitable for oily skin girls. That's all. Thank you for reading! :)

Disclaimer : Please remember that everybody is different. This product may work for you even though it did not work for me. So it's totally your choice if you want to try it or not. This is just my opinion. Please do not take it too seriously.
