SEPHORA Haul (Sephora is available in Johor Bahru NOW!)

Good day, my beautiful happy people! :)

Today, i wanna share the few items that i picked up at Sephora recently. I'm not too sure if all of you know that Sephora recently opened another branch at Johor Bahru Town. You can imagine how elated i was when i heard that because it is like literally 5 mins away from my house in JB. And i LOVE Sephora sooo much. I can just spend hours inside Sephora just staring at all that awesome cosmetics in there. Haha. So anyways, my parents took me and my baby sister to the new mall (the revamped version of Komtar). I straight headed for Sephora. Within minutes, i picked out all the items that i want and then i helped my mum and sister get some cosmetics for themselves too. My ever-so-generous daddy decided to give us all a treat! Don't i have like the best daddy in the whole wide world? :D

My mum isn't too familiar with brands like Too Faced and Smashbox or even Urban Decay. She only knows the standard Bobbi Brown, Elizabeth Arden, Lancome and Estee Lauder. So i was more than happy to brief her on each of the brands there. At last, she got one Sephora Rouge Lipstick, a Sephora Lip Liner and also a cosmetic sharpener. So anyways, i picked up in total 5 items. Out of the 5 items, 3 of them are lip products. Yup, you girls know me. I love my lip products a lot. It's actually the favourite part of my makeup session. I just think it's not possible for someone to have just 10 lipsticks. That's not possible. Yep, i said it. I need some choice! Lots and lots of choices. Okay, time to shut up and get into the haul.

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #04 Endless Purple

I recently did a review on the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #02 Classic Beige. And you would have probably known how much i actually do like it. So i actually went and bought another colour, this time, i got the purple plum coloured one. I know i'll like it for sure. These lip stain comes in 6 shades i think. It is retailed at RM 54. But i think Sephora is having a sale right now. So all Sephora brand items are 10% off. Therefore, i got this lip stain for only RM 48.60. Such a steal! I'll do an individual post on this lip stain soon.

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in M16

So I finally caved in and got the Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer Pencil in M16. I'm in the darkest shade though. Once again, girls darker than me won't be able to find your shade here. You girls can try the ever friendly Bobbi Brown or MAC Cosmetics that caters for various skintones from Fair to Dark! :) I've been meaning to purchase this concealer pencil for the longest time ever. But since it's RM 65 and it actually comes in a pencil form (which will always tend to finish faster), I think the price is a lil too steep. But i decided to JUST get it. And i can't wait to try this concealer pencil. It looks like a very good concealer. But i haven't had the chance to use it yet. I want to at least try to finish up my current concealer which is the Revlon Colorstay Concealer and then only use this new one.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Nude

I've had my eyes on the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks for ages! But it is ALWAYS sold out in the Sephora stores at Paradigm Mall and KLCC. So when i saw it in the Sephora in JB i of course had to get it! I wanted to get 2 colours because they all looked sooo gorgeous and the packaging is to die for! Obviously since it is TOO FACED. Too Faced is always known for their cute packaging. Can you believe it? This is actually my first makeup product from Too faced. I've never bought anything from Too faced before just because i always seem to be overwhelmed whenever i see the Too Faced section at Sephora. Lol. Anyways, I got the shade Nude and it is retailed at RM 69. I think that is a good price. Coz that's like just a ringgit more than a MAC Lipstick price. And it's not too expensive like the YSL lipsticks or even the Bobbi Brown ones. I'm so excited to try this! If it's awesome, i'll definitely be purchasing the other shades as well.

NYX Wonder Pencil in Dark

I'm actually next about this NYX Wonder Pencil. It's one of those popular items in NYX Cosmetics. This pencil is called the "Wonder Pencil" because it actually 'conceals, lines and brightens' as stated in the NYX Cosmetics website. It works as a concealer and also as a nude eye liner. I'll most probably be using it as a nude eye liner to brighten up my waterline when i want that nude eye effect! I just hope the wonder pencil actually stays on my waterline. By the way, the Wonder Pencil is retailed at only RM 20! Such a steal!

NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Natural

I have been a great fan of NYX Lip Pencils since forever! I love them, they are inexpensive, and they come in so many shades. I even have a review on them. To check that out, click here. NYX came out with their other line of Retractable Lip Liners a few years back i think. I usually don't like retractable liners whether it is eyeliners or lip liners. I just don't like retractable packaging. I feel that i don't get a lot of product and i'm only paying for the packaging. I usually prefer the wooden pencil liners. I'm old school that way. LOL. But, to my surprise, these NYX Retractable liners are waterproof and they really are long lasting. The shades are amazing too. I got the Lip Liner in the shade Natural as usual. Plus, it is only RM 19. Now ask me why i love NYX products! The price is so affordable.

Anyways, those are the 5 things that i picked up from Sephora the other day when i'm back home in JB. Individual reviews will be coming up very soon as i try all these products. Lemme know your thoughts on these products if you have tried them yourselves! I love to hear your views on them too.

Much love from me <3

Top 5 Non-Cosmetics Essentials That Every Girl Must Have ~

Hey gurlssssssssss :)

Today I wanna share with you a few essential non-makeup items that all girls should have in their daily lives. I personally use these items on a daily basis and i can't imagine what i'll be without them. So here goes the top 5 non-cosmetic products that every girl should have!

1) Blotting Papers

This is something that i use almost everyday when i go out. Not necessarily when i'm wearing makeup, even on days here i'm makeup-less, i need to use em' blotting papers. As you all know, i have very oily skin. No mattifying powder ever worked on my skin. So if the powder is able to mattify my face for like around 5 hours, it is considered very good. And then after that 5 hours, i'll simply use my OXY Oil Control Film to get rid of the oil slick on my face. And the OXY blotting papers are my favourite one because it does not remove or smudge any of my makeup and it leaves my face matte for another few hours! Plus, it's really cheap (RM 9.90). Personally, i think that this is a must-have for any girl with an oily skin. You need this in your life.

2) Lip Balm

I don't know how some girls can sleep in an air conditioned room without apply a lip balm on your lips. Like Don't they get all dry and nasty? To me, lip balm is very very important because i hate dry lips. That's why i always exfoliate my lips as well as moisturized it all the time. I think it's good habit to apply use a lip balm before you go to bed. When you wake up the next day, you'll find a difference on how good your lips look! Plus, wearing lipsticks will be soo much better on a soft, smooth lips. I almost never have dry lips coz even when i'm wearing a lipstick, i actually apply a thin layer of the MAC Lip Conditioner first before i apply the actual lipstick onto my lips. Whereas, before i go to sleep, I use either my Nivea Soft Rose lip balm or my Nivea Pure & Natural Olive & Lemon Lip balm.

3) Sunscreen

This is super important for girls of every skin types, oily or dry skin! Actually both guys and girls need this too. Sunscreen. It's important for us peeps, living in Malaysia. In Malaysia, we practically have summer all year long. So we gotta protect our skin from the harsh sunlight. Please, please wear a sunscreen or sunblock whatsoever you call it whenever you step out of your house. Okay, let's say you're gonna go do your grocery shopping very quickly and it's in a mall, then maybe you don't need to use such a heavy duty sunscreen. But for those of you that will be outdoor for more than 30 mins, please use a sunscreen or risk getting yourself burnt. Or worse, have all kinds of skin problems that will make your face look not nice. So remember girls, take care of your skin. Use at least SPF 50. I always use the Lancome Sunscreen in SPF 50. Ain't nobody got time for sun burn.

4) Cosmetic Sharpener

Cosmetic Sharpener. I know some of you girls will be all 'Huh?' What the hell is that? Chill, it looks just like any other sharpener. But obviously it's to sharpened eyeliners and lip liners. This is only a must-have for my girls out there that love makeup. Most probably if you're reading this post, then you love makeup too. Because my blog is after all a fashion and makeup blog. So high 5, babe! :) Haha. Imagine, wanting to use a specific eyeliner but too bad it's too blunt for you to use it. That sucks isn't it? Even when i'm travelling, i always make sure that my Dior sharpener is being packed. Anyways, people said that the Inglot Sharpener is really good. I just use the Christian Dior Sharpener because my mum gave me this sharpener ages ago. I don't know if they still sell these sharpeners though... Oh well, any cosmetic sharpeners will do. You can even opt for cheaper ones like the ones in Sinma or even Shins. As long as they can sharpened the liners, you're good to go.

5) Body Moisturizers

I don't know you girls, but even though i have an oily face, the skin on the rest of my body is so dry. I know, the worst of both worlds. It gets soo dry. Especially since i work in a cold office. And also since i was on Roaccutane a few years ago. That caused my skin to be dry. Ever since then, I've been using the awesome The Body Shop Shea Body Butter. This moisturizer is the best in the world. It's absolutely my favourite body moisturizers of all time. I don't know how i'll survive without this body butter. It is the reason why my skin is not THAT dry. I think that all girls should have that one good moisturizer that will moisturized their skin well. It can be either be from the drugstores like Watsons or Guardians or it can also be from Yves Rocher, L'occitane or The Body Shop! :)

So that's all the Top 5 non-cosmetics products that i think every girl must have. it's important you know to take care of yourself. Especially girls. We're meant to be pampered and loved! <3 Hahaa.

Thank you for reading!

SEPHORA Cream Lip Stain in #02 Classic Beige (Is It Worth The Hype?)

Heyyy Gurls!

So this weekend i won't be going back to JB. That means i have plenty of time to get some blog posts up! Hehe. Coz everyone knows, ain't nobody got time for blogging when you're with your family. Man, i miss my family sooo MUCH. But oh well, we all gotta grow up and be responsible and have jobs to do. So yeah. We just gotta suck it up and turn up the radio when Pharrell Williams' Happy comes on :) I've yet to meet a person who doesn't like that song. In my opinion that's like the best song ever. It can change your mood from being an angry beaver to a happy bunny :D I'm not even kidding!

Anyways, today i'll be reviewing my new Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #02 Classic Beige. These lip stains were retailed at RM 54 a piece. I actually got another one of the Sephora Cream Lip Stain because i really loved this one. I got the #04 Endless Purple one. Not too worry. I'll do a whole other post on it soon. I've been getting a lot of lip products recently from Sephora. That means a haul post will be up soon too. HEHE. Without further ado, let's jump right into the review. I have to be honest with you, the first ever time i used this Sephora Cream Lip Stain, was to work and i suffered from some mild allergies.

Okay, here's the thing. I used the lip stain for a total of 10 hours that day and i also used another lipstick on top of that lip stain. This Sephora Cream Lip Stain dries to a matte finish. And when i used another matte lipstick on top of this matte lip stain, it caused my lips to become dry and inflamed and omg, it actually left blisters on my lips. I was so terrified of the lip stain that i didn't use it for a week. By then, the allergic reaction had cleared out on my lips and my lips were back to normal (thank you, God). I looked up online about the Sephora cream lip stains and it did not even have a single bad review about it. Everybody was raving about how amazing this product was. So me being me, decided to give this lip stain another chance. And this time, i was going to use it the right way. I was going to use it on it's own. No mixing it with other lipsticks whatsoever.

So i applied a lip balm before applying the Sephora Cream Lip Stain again and prayed that it doesn't inflame my lips. Or else it will be confirmed that i am allergic to it. And i don't want to be allergic to such an amazing product. Guess what? After a whole day of being at work and all, my lips was just the way it was! No allergic reactions whatsoever. YAY! :) Happiness is not being allergic to awesome sauce lip products! :D

Anyways, the Sephora Cream Lip Stain comes in a lip gloss-like packaging with a doe-foot applicator which makes it very easy to apply. You just simply swipe it on your lips and you're good to go. This cream lip stain is very very pigmented. It is opaque. So girls with pigmented lips can wear this with ease too. No need to apply a lip liner or even try to muted out the true colour of your lips. It dries to a matte finish but it's not drying at all to the lips. Apparently it has some kind of Avocado oil to nourish the lips. So, that's a plus point. Below is a swatch of the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Classic Beige on my hand.

Girls, between you and me, this stays on your lips forever! Even if, you know, you girls decide to give your man a kiss or something of that sort ;) Your lips will remain intact as though you haven't been making out with any guy. So yeah. It's kiss-proof too. Haha. This cream lip stain does not budge at all. Even if you're eating greasy food. And greasy food ALWAYS wipes off any kinds of lipsticks! But not this apparently! In fact you have to use a proper lip makeup remover to remove it properly from your lips. My favourite colour out of all the Sephora Cream Lip Stain is the Classic Beige for sure. It's definitely not a pale nude. It is a slightly darker nude shade. I like that it has such a gorgeous warm pale peachy brown look.

I dunno why, but currently i'm into darker nude shades. Maybe i'm just getting into this whole Kylie Jenner lips craze. After all, this looks like the perfect Kylie-Jenner-lips. But we all know she uses the MAC Swirl Lip Pencil. So that's that. Below is a picture of a close up pic of my lips. Just look at that colour! Omg, I'm in love already!

A reminder, do not attempt to layer this lip stain throughout the day. If you want a fresh coat of colour, make sure you take off the lip stain before reapplying it. Because if you just layer the lip stain on the already dried up cream lip stain, it will just make your lips feel gunky and dry and you'll feel like there is a thick layer of hard stuff on your lips. And trust me, you don't want that. It's an uncomfortable feeling and that's what i did the first time i wore this lip stain and i got an allergic reaction. So please don't do that. Anyways, as you can already see, below is a picture of me using the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Classic Beige. Lemme know your thoughts on this Lip Stain! :)

I <3 You all and thank you for reading, my lovelies! <3

Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex (Best Undereye Dark Circle Cream Ever!)

Helloooooo :)

I think my search for the perfect undereye dark circle cream has officially ended! I've finally found it! Can you believe it girls? After all these years I've been looking high and low for the magic cream to get rid of my panda eyes. And finally after a few years, I've done it. In case you're wondering, it's the Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex! :) It's officially the best undereye circle cream of all time.

BUT (here's the blip), this Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex is very very VERY expensive. It's freaking expensive. Like RM 249 expensive! Even i wouldn't have got it. It's my oh-so-generous mummy that bought this for me. She knows my dark undereye circles need some serious help! Hahaa. Thank you, mummy. You're the best mum in this whole wide universe. Because of the price, i'm sure many of you are gonna close this page already. No use reading the rest of the review when the product is sooo expensive.

But listen, you guys. This cream actually WORKS! It works wayyy better than any of the eye creams that I've ever used. My undereye dark circles have drastically reduced! Like finally. I've always been so conscious about my undereye dark circles. Like who wants to look like a panda? Well, on second thought, pandas are cute, ain't nobody got time for em' panda eyes! To be honest, i would repurchase this cream after i've used up the whole first tube. Even though it costs a bomb, it is a skincare product! It's always good to invest in good skincare that works. For example, you girls know how much i LOVE Clinique's skincare and they ain't cheap!

I know i said earlier just now that i wouldn't have purchased it the first time if it wasn't my mum, but now, after actually trying it and seeing a great difference, i certainly repurchase this cream. It's awesome and it's actually worth the RM 249. Plus it comes in a 15ml tube. That's quite a generous amount for an eye cream. So yeah. That's good. I think it's expensive because it is made in the USA. Dermalogica is an American brand. And you don't actually need to put alot of your eyes. Just apply a thin layer of cream under your eyes before you go to sleep everyday.

But during the first week of you trying out this cream, you have to use it on alternate days. This is because your skin needs to get used to the Retinol inside the cream. And since this cream contains Vitamin A (or Retinol) it is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding ladies. And the Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex actually contains 0.1% of Retinol. This warning is stated on the box of the eye cream. However, for the rest of us, this cream is awesome. Most like heaven on earth! :) I'm so thankful to my mum for buying this for me and letting me try such a great product. Finally i can have a nice under eye area with no panda effect.

Soon, i'll be able to say bye bye to my under eye concealers and whatnot. I give the Dermalogica Age Reversal Eye Complex a 9/10. It would have been a perfect 10 but the price is kinda steep. Hence, a 9.

Those of you that actually read the full review, thank you, lovelies!

I love you all <3

Makeup Look #12 Daytime Smokey Eye (Using the NAKED Palette)

Hello People! :)

Today, i'm gonna show you a daytime smokey eye look using the one and only NAKED palette! YAY! Who doesn't like the Naked palette. After all, it's one of the top bestsellers at Urban Decay. It is a lil pricey but it think it's worth it. Make sure to check out my review on the NAKED original as well as the Naked 3 palette too. If i had to choose one, i'd pick the NAKED original for sure. Anyways, this daytime smokey look is soooo easy to do. Let's jump right in!

Of course i did my eye makeup first as usual. Keep in mind that whenever you're doing a major eye makeup look, please do your eye makeup first. Or else the eyeshadow might have loads of fallouts and you're gonna have a hard time cleaning up those fallouts if you have already applied your foundation and whatnot. So do your eyes first kay? :) Good girl.

I primed my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original. Then i take the colour Smog and applied it to my entire eyelid. Then i take Darkhorse and applied it to my crease area. I used my Sigma E40 brush to blend in the shadow into the crease properly. Then i take Naked and swiped it above the crease area before the browbone. Make sure to blend that well. Then i highlighted my browbone with Virgin. I lined my top lashline with Maybelline Gel Liner. I created a winged out liner look for this daytime smokey eyes.

Then for my lover lash, i lined the outer corner on my eyes with the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil. I took the shadow Creep to smoke out the lower lash line. Then i take Sin to highlight the lower inner corners of my eyes of that instant 'pop' effect. After all that, i applied some mascara on my lashes. I want that drama, yo! :D I fill in my eyebrows as per usual. I have a post specially on that. Click here to check that out.

Now let's move on to the face. I used my new Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place makeup. Then I applied my colour corrector and some concealer under my eyes to cover up em' dark circles. I set all that with my Essence Mattifying Compact Powder. I didn't want to use a blush for this look as i wanted it too look bronzey... If that makes any sense. So i used my NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat powder to bronze up my face since this powder is a lil too dark for me. So it works perfectly well as a bronzer. To highlight em' cheekbones, i used the highlighter from Topshop. This is my favourite highlighter of all time. It's such a perfect bronzey shimmery highlight and it makes your skin look so healthy.

As for the lips, i didn't want to go with that typical nude lips. Girls always think that whenever you do a smokey eye look, you can have any colour on your lips. So they always opt for a very nude colour. But i don't roll that way. You girls know that i am capable of rockin' smokey eyes with a red lip. BUT, not this time. This time i wanted a some coral-looking colour. So i mixed the MAC Siss lipstick and the MAC Impassioned lipstick to achieve the lip colour below. Lemme know what you girls think of this lip combo. I honestly like it! :)

TADAAAAA! The finish look! Yay or Nay? :) Btw, my contact lens are from Freshlook. It's in the colour Sterling Grey. I usually wear the Grey coloured lens. Not really a fan of the sterling Grey but oh well. The occasional switch up can be fun! My top is from Jaspal. PS : the next makeup look will probably be either a Clubbing Makeup Look or a College Girl Makeup look. Stay Tuned :D

Products That I Used to Achieve This Look :-

Clinique Dramatically Different Gel
Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup in #4N2 Spiced Sand
MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural in #Medium Deep
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original
Urban Decay NAKED Palette
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
Bobbi Brown Color Corrector in Deep Peach
Revlon Colorstay Concealer in #03 Medium Deep
Essence Mattifying Compact Powder in #09 Soft Tan
Victoria's Secret Lash DARE Mascara
Bobbi Brown Chocolate Eye Palette (To fill in my brows)
Essence EyeBrow Designer in Brown
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation (As a bronzer)
Topshop Highlight in Crescent Moon
NYX Natural Lip Liner
MAC Siss Lipstick
MAC Impassioned

That's a wrap, peeps! Thank you for reading. I really appreciate each and everyone of you soo much!

Urban Decay NAKED Palette Review & Swatches! :)

Ola girls!

Most of you would have already known that i have the NAKED 3 palette from Urban Decay. Ever since i purchased that palette, i've been wanting to get my hands on the NAKED original palette only because these 2 palettes are so different! I admit, the Naked original and the Naked 2 looks the same to me. Only thing, the Naked 2 palette is more of cool tone shadows compared to the Naked original which is mostly warm tone shadows. So anyways, i did purchase the NAKED original a few months back. And i LOVE it. Urban Decay never disappoints you whenever it comes to their eyeshadows. I would say that they have one of the best eyeshadows out there.

The Naked original palette is retailed at RM 188. All the Naked palettes are priced at that standard price. I particularly prefer this packaging compared to the NAKED 3 packaging which comes in a steel pencil-box-like packaging. The original NAKED palette comes in a velvet packaging with a magnet closure. I think this packaging is more classy and exclusive-looking compared to the Naked 2 and Naked 3. However, because it is made out of velvet, it can get dirty. And then you'll have to try and wipe it clean with a cloth every now or so.

I like the mirror that the Naked palettes come with. I think it comes in a nice size and it definitely comes in handy when you need a mirror to do your makeup. I remember back in my college days when i want to do my makeup, i always used my Estee Lauder eyeshadow palette's mirror because i didn't have a proper mirror at my hostel. Obviously now i have a nice dressing table to do my makeup. So yeah. But it's always nice to have a big mirror just in case you're travelling and your sisters keep hogging the hotel mirrors when you're about to get ready!

As usual, all the eyeshadow formulas are amazing. They are soft and finely-milled. They almost feel buttery soft and applies so smoothly on the eyelids. I love UD eyeshadow formulas! Again, they are one of the best out there. I'm thinking of using this palette to do my makeup for my cousin sister's engagement party. Coz i want a neutral, natural kinda look. Nothing overboard as it is an engagement party. Not a wedding reception! So anyways, below are the swatches of all the eyeshadows on my arm. Isn't all the shadows just gorgeous?

Below are the close up swatches of these eyeshadows!

(L to R : Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar)
(L to R : Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse)
(L to R : Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal)
I have to say, my favourite eyeshadow in the Naked Original palette is Smog. I think it's a gorgeous shimmery bronzey colour which looks amazing on the lids alone! Let's say you're lazy or you simply don't have the time to do your makeup, just applying this eyeshadow all over your lids makes you look stunning. Like as though you've done a lot of work on your eyes, when in reality, you actually haven't. The sheen it gives is absolutely pretty and glamorous. On the other hand, the shadow that i least like is the Sidecar only because of it's formula. I find that it has a lot of fallout whenever i apply it to my lids. Like what in the world? It always makes my makeup messy whenever i use sidecar.

Anyways, Naked original palette also comes with a nice eyeshadow brush. All the Naked palette comes with such an amazing brush that you can actually use. Unlike most eyeshadow palettes which don't have a brush or even worse - when they comes with those tiny sponge applicator. Like ever use those? O.o I also always use my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original whenever i use any of my Naked palettes. This is just to enhanced the colours of my eyeshadows as well as to make it last longer on the lids without it creasing or fading throughout the day.

Below is a picture of me rockin' an eye look done using only the NAKED Original palette. I'll upload another post solely for how i got this day-time smokey eye look. What do you girls think about this palette? It is worth all that hype it gets? :) Let me know down below.

Thank you for reading. I really appreciate every one of you!

Drugstore Foundation ~ Revlon Colorstay Foundation in #370 Toast

Hello girls!

So it's back to business for most of us since Raya Break are officially over. Except maybe some of those women of leisure who just drink Starbucks while getting their manicures and pedicures done after a Pilates session and is waiting for her friends to go shopping at Pavillion later on with her rich husband's credit card! LOL. Oh well. One can dream. Not that i want to go to Pilates class or even have a rich husband for that matter. I just want a manicure. My nails need help! Plus, I'm the kind of girl that wants a job and earn her own money. That's besides the point anyways. Today, i'm gonna be ranting about the one and only Revlon Colorstay Foundation in #370 Toast.

I got this foundation when i was in university. That means during my pre-Roaccutane days. That means when i used to have pimples. And this foundation really covers up em' blemishes oh-so-well! :) It's a full coverage foundation. It retails at RM 55.90 at Watsons. It's meant for combination to oily skin. That's awesome because i do have oily skin. Since i had blemishes in university, i did like this foundation then. It covered up any imperfections well and it gave me a satin finish. However, if you do powder your face with a mattifying powder, it will give you a matte finish. So that's nice.

The Revlon Colorstay foundation comes in a glass bottle without a pump. Kinda like the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. In fact, this foundation actually reminds me of the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. They are both full coverage, they don't come with a pump, they both have chemical-scented smell etc. But for the price, i guess it okay. I can live with it. I'm in the shade #370 which is a perfect match to my skintone. SO yay! It's usually damn difficult to find the wrong shade of foundation for yourself. However, bare in mind that this foundation only has around 5 different shades. And i'm using the darkest one. Therefore, girls darker than me might not be able to find their shade for this foundation.

To be honest, i almost don't use this foundation anymore. It's because i just don't like full coverage foundations anymore. My skin is in a good place right now (thank you, Roaccutane) so i always use a light to medium coverage foundations like the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions makeup or the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Light Makeup. Those 2 are my favourite ones currently. But of course, if you're a fan of that flawlessly gorgeous face effect, then go for this Revlon Colorstay Foundation. Even though it's a full coverage foundation, it does not breakout your skin at all nor does it feel heavy on your skin. It's awesome that way.

I usually use this foundation when i have a nice event to attend like weddings or if i was going to take a picture in a studio. I wouldn't even use this for like a girls night out or to parties. Only to places where i'm going to have to look flawless and perfect while i'm having my pictures taken. So yeah. Plus, this Revlon Colorstay Foundation is really long wearing as well. It doesn't fade whatsoever. It's best to apply this foundation with a stippling brush. I dunno how the beauty blender applies this product since i don't own a beauty blender. Yup, i know. Shocking!

The Revlon Colorstay Foundation sets nicely on your face so you don't really need to set it with a powder if you don't want to. As for me, i never like to set my foundation with a powder because i feel that it will make the foundation look cakey or it will cause the foundation to oxides. So there you go! If you're afraid that your face is going to get shiny after a few hours, make sure to bring some blotting papers with you to blot em oils away from your face. Ain't nobody got time for greasy face! :)

Anyways, that's all i got to rant about the Revlon Colorstay Foundation in #370 Toast. Below is a picture of me using the foundation. Look how flawless my face looks!

Closeup picture!

Thank you for reading! I love you all <3

Review : Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara

Hi beauty lovers :)

Today I'm finally reviewing the Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara even though I've had this mascara for over a year right now. This mascara retails at RM 39.90 in Watsons. It is probably cheaper at Guardians though. I dunno why Watsons is usually slightly more expensive. But whatever. Let's jump right in.

So the Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express mascara come in a slightly chubbier tube compared to the usual Maybelline mascaras. Personally, i really like Maybelline mascaras when it comes to drugstore makeup. Maybelline offers a large range of different types of mascaras. They have everything for everybody. The Rocket mascara comes in the colour black.

As you can see in the picture below, the brush is made out of rubber. It's not the usual bristles kinda brush. It's also a lot thicker than most mascara wands. The consistency of this mascara is on the 'wet' side. So this sometimes makes it slightly more difficult to apply it. It just gets all over your eyelids. But you can always use a cardboard or some random card to avoid that from happening.

Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express mascara doesn't clump if it is applied properly. If you apply a few coats of it without waiting for the first layer to sort of dry, it will clump. So that's wait you gotta apply it slowly. One layer at a time. And for those of you with thin and fine eyelashes, this mascara might not work for you because it is so watery. It doesn't hold a curl well.

Regardless, i still like it because it doesn't clump on my eyelashes. Also i usually use this mascara with the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara for better impact. Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Mascara does a good job in volumizing the lashes. I can see a great difference when i use it. Below is a picture of me with and without the mascara.

Another closeup of the eyelashes with the mascara.

LOL. I decided to play around with makeup after that. So what do you girls thing about this mascara? I give it a 7/10! :) I like it. But it's not as awesome sauce as the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara.

Oh, and i am wearing a top. It's just a black tube top. The necklace is from Diva Accessories and the lipstick that i'm using is Mystic from Sleek Cosmetics! And that's it. Thank you for reading! :)

Love ya, peeps!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup

Good day, peeps!

It's been awhile since i reviewed a foundation isn't it? Let's take a short break from all that lip products that I've been reviewing and focus on foundation for today. I'm reviewing my current everyday foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup. This foundation is by far the best foundation that I've used! A little info about my skin. I have very oily face. Like no matter what kind of mattifying powder i use, my skin still gets oily after a few hours. So, for me to determine if the mattifying powder is good, it should be able to mattify me for a longer period of time. And by 'longer period' i meant for at least 5 hours like how the Essence Mattifying Compact powder does for me. That's why that is my favourite mattifying powder of all time.

But today, i'm gonna talk about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup. This foundation is the best i've ever use. Firstly, the foundation has a light to medium coverage which i love. I hate those full caverage foundations because it just makes your skin look cakey and flawlessly fake. If you get what i mean. Nobody wants that fake-doll-like look. Well, maybe most people but not me. I refer a light to medium coverage foundation. Plus, this foundation feels like a second skin. It doesn't feel like you have a thick layer of makeup plastered on your face. It feels lightweight and nice on the skin.

As for the finish of this foundation, it is a satin finish. It actually keeps my skin relatively shine-free for 4 hours or so. Which is good. So usually at work, i'll blot my face with a blotting paper to control the shine. And then after that, my face will be shine free for another 2-3 hours. So yeah. I can deal with that. So for my oily skin girls out there, you need this in your life. Mind you, i do not set this foundation with anything else. I'm the kind of girl that hates to set my foundation because i'm too afraid that it's gonna look cakey. Besides, foundations are supposed to be able to set nicely without being pat down with powder.

For the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup, i'm in the shade Intensity 4.5. I'm not sure if this is my exact shade because most of the time, it looks nice and even BUT sometimes i feel that it can be slightly light. Or maybe i'm just not used to using a foundation which matches my skin tone because i'm usually using a darker shade foundation. The sad thing about this shade is that it is not available at the Estee Lauder counters, It only available in Johor Premium Outlets. I find it so hilarious that Estee Lauder cosmetics in Malaysia don't have this shade in their counters. Like why? There are tan girls in Malaysia too.

Anyways, the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light-Stay-In-Place Makeup comes it a squeeze-y tube. This is something that i like a foundation because it makes it sooo much easier to use it. Or else you kinda have to use your hands and whatnot. So yeah. This is a plus point. The consistency of this foundation is a little balm-like but not as balm-y as the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Foundation. This foundation comes in a 30ml tube just like most other foundations too. I got it for RM 109 from Johor Premium Outlets. The packaging of this foundation is very classy. Duh, it is Estee Lauder after all. Estee Lauder products have such gorgeous packaging!

And below is a picture of me using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Stay-In-Place Makeup in Intensity 4.5. What do you girls thing? :)

Close up pic! SO that you guys can look at how foundation sets on my skin :)

Thank you for reading. Till the next post then!
