Makeup Look #15 Grey + Black Eye Makeup Look (Using the NAKED Palette)

Ola girls!

So the other day i was going out with some friends and we wanted to go to a restaurant nearby to chill out. since it was the weekend, i decided to kind of get dressed up a bit. Since i have all these eyeshadows and i hardly ever get the chance to use them. I decided to use my Urban Decay NAKED palette. I was wearing a short grey dress so i decided to create a black and grey smokey eye look. It's actually a pretty simple makeup look to do. As you girls would have known by now, my eye makeup looks are fairly easy to recreate because i'm no pro as well. Hehee.

Let's in get! I first primed my eyelids with the MAC Pro Long Wear concealer in NW 35. Then i took the MAC Mineralize SkinFinish Natural and blended it on my crease to give it some definition. After that, i applied the shade Gunmetal from the NAKED palette all over my eyelids. After that, i take the Creep shadow (what a name lol) and put it at the outer corners of my eyelids. I didn't want the look to be winged out, so i kept the shape rounded. Then after that, i blended all the shadows together. Then i took Virgin and placed it on my browbone to highlight that area.

Then i lined my top lashes as per usual using my Maybelline Gel liner. Then i created a wing using my SilkyGirl Liquid liner. I applied my mascara as per usual too. Nothing new about those steps. Please note that i will be doing a step-by-step post on how i do my winged out liner look since i get a lot of request on my eyeliner look. So stay tuned for that :) After that, i take the same Gunmetal and Creep shadow and blend it on my lower lash line to give that smokey eye effect. And voila, eyes done! :D Of course i filled in my brows too.

After that, I concealed under my eyes to cover up any dark circles. I decided to be different today and set my undereye concealer with the Inglot Mattifying Powder. Then I went ahead and apply my foundation and all that good stuff. I bronzed my cheeks and i highlighted my face with Estee Lauder Ideal Light Illuminator. I love this highlighter coz i feel that it has the best type of highlighter formula. For those of you who are wondering, it is a liquid highlighter that comes in a pen form. After that, i decided to slightly contour my cheeks using the Sleek Contour kit in Medium. I felt like having chiseled cheeks today! I didn't to skip the blush coz i was liking the bronzed cheeks look already.

For finishing touches, i applied MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick first. But then i wanted something more peachy. So i topped it off with MAC Cozy Up lipstick. In case you didn't know, MAC Cozy Up is like the best nude lipstick ever. But sadly it's limited edition. Boohoo! :(

Review : Benefit POREfessional (Current Fave Primer)

Hi girls! :)

So i know that it has literally been ages since i last posted a blog post. I'm sorry I've just been so busy with life and enjoying my birthday week and yeah, pretty much everything nice is happening this month. Diwali has just ended. Which means i have to get my Diwali GRWM posts ready. I even have a house warming ceremony to attend in early November which means (AGAIN!) i have to get my saree all ready! Not to worry as i will be doing a GRWM posts for all of them. First, starting with my Birthday outfit because i did wear something cute on my birthday! :D Too bad i had no time to snap close up pics of my makeup. I might be recreating that look if i'm hardworking enough. Or else it's just gonna be a Style Files post. Kays, my lovelies?

Anyways, enough blabbering, Priya! Let's get down to the review. Today i'll be reviewing my all-time favourite face primer which is the one and only Benefit POREfessional. Sorry, i don't think i should use the word favourite coz i've never really tried many face primers at all in the first place. So far, i've only used the revlon PhotoReady face primer, MAC Prep + Prime, Benefit IT Gal primer and the NYX Shine Killer primer. Hands down, the Benefit POREfessional is better than both of these primers. So yeah.

The Benefit POREfessional comes in a standard size of 22ml. However, it also comes in a large size which is 44ml. Sorry, i totally forgot how much i bought this for. Personally, i think Benefit POREfessional is amazing just cause it covers up my pores so perfectly! And mind you, i have pretty large pores near my nose area. This primer covers them up perfectly! I can actually see the great difference on my face when i use the POREfessional and when i don't use it. I also thinks that it makes your foundation glide on so much nicer! That is to be expected because it is a silicone based primer.

Initially, before trying out the Benefit POREfessional, I was actually afraid that it will cause me to breakout since it is actually going to "fill in your pores". But it didn't. So, i'm a happy kid. I've been using this primer for about a year now. And it has never caused any breakouts on my face. So that's a plus point. This primer is also oil-free. However, i do find that this primer doesn't do anything to mattify my face. That means my face does get oily as per usual. And since the Benefit POREfessional did not claim to mattify your face, i'm okay with that.

The texture of the Benefit POREfessional is very balm-y. It feels like a very smooth and light balm. It also comes it a pale nude beige shade. However, it becomes colourless when rubbed onto your skin. So that's nice. Below is a picture of the product.

I give the Benefit POREfessional a rating of 8/10. Have you girls tried this product yet? If yes, let me know your thoughts on them. Thank you for reading!

Review : NYX Retractable Lip Liner (Natural & Nude)

Ola Babes!

Today i'm gonna show you girls some great lip liners from NYX. NYX recently came out with some lip liners which are the NYX Retractable Lip Liners. These lip liners obviously comes in a retractable plastic pen-like thing. Usually i would not be drawn towards these kind of retractable lip liners coz i always feel like i'm getting lesser products. That's why i always prefer wooden lip pencils and eyeliners. However, what attracted me was the fact that these retractable lip liners claims to be waterproof. I mean, who doesn't like long lasting lip pencils? Imagine wearing a red lipstick and it doesn't even budge even when you eat or drink? That's like a major plus point for me. Hence, i bought 2 of the lip liners.

I got the NYX Retractable Lip Liners in the shade Nude and Natural. I usually always buy natural coloured lip liners coz most of the time i'm using a nude lipstick or a natural looking lipstick. So i thought i'd pick up those shades. Natural is more of a slightly warm nude brown. Whereas the shade nude is a slightly pale pinky beige colour. Both the lip liners are creamy but not too creamy like the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencils. These feels like the Estee Lauder Double Wear Lip Liners. Only way way wayyyyyy cheaper in price.

These are the swatches of both the NYX Retractable Lip Liners in Nude and Natural. Nude is on the left and Natural is on the right.

So whether or not they are waterproof? My verdict is, YES, they are. They are waterproof. However, if you are eating greasy food and all, the lip liner does fade off. It is very long lasting too compared to all the other lip liners i've used before. So i definitely like it. Especially for those days where you are going to be out the whole day and you probably don't have time to keep on touch up your makeup! It lasts a good 8 hours on my lips. It also definitely makes the lipstick last longer too if you fill your lips with the lip liners before applying the lipstick.

The NYX Retractable Lip Liners are retailed at RM 19. They are so inexpensive that i want them in all shades and colours! Imagine having amazing long lasting lip liners for only RM 19? That's a steal if you ask me! Compared to Estee Lauder and MAC lip pencils these are so cheap! No doubt that the MAC and the Estee Lauder lip pencils are amazing too but for the price, they better be! This is one of the reason i love NYX cosmetics. They have amazing products at such an affordable price.

My rating for the NYX Retractable Lip Liners are 9/10 :) Do let me know your thoughts on this lip liners if you have used them.

Till the next post then!

I love you all <3

Tarte Lights, Camera, LASHES Mascara Review ~ HOLY GRAIL Product!

Hiiii :)

Guess what? Today i'm gonna review my HOLY GRAIL mascara of LIFE! That's why i'm so excited! It's hands down the best mascara i've ever used. And trust me, i've used a lot of mascaras before. This is by far the best.

First of all, I got a small travel size of this mascara because i had not yet tried any Tarte Mascaras before. So i didn't dare by the full sized version of this mascara. The travel size mascara only retails for around RM 35 i think. That's really good but of course it comes in a small mascara tube. It's probably half the size of a normal, standard size mascara. As soon as i'm done with this tube, imma buy the full size tube of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara! And yes, that is the name of my Holy Grail mascara. The packaging of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is very minimalist, sleek and classy.

I don't even know where to begin. This mascara is one of the blackest mascara i've used. It's amazing. The formula of this mascara is wonderful because it's the perfect balance of not being too WET or too DRY. I like to curl my lashes before applying the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara because it holds a curl so perfectly. My only regret is that i hadn't discovered this mascara earlier. Boy, my lashes wouldn't been looking GORGEOUS! Hehee.

The Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara has the most awesome mascara wand ever. Because of how this brush is shaped and designed, my lashes never EVER clump whenever i use it. And my lashes usually clumps very easily with other mascaras. Almost all mascaras will clump up my lashes. All except this mascara. The Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara separates my lashes so nicely. You can see it in the picture below. See how amazing my eyelashes look? I'm so in love with this mascara! Makes me wanna try out all of the other Tarte mascaras too.

Another factor of why i love this Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is because it doesn't make your eyelashes hard. I totally hate mascaras which makes your lashes look so hard and crusty. That look is just not nice. So your lashes will be soft and nice when you use this mascara. Although i admit, this mascara won't give you super dramatic volume or lengthening effect. It's targeted more for people that have thick lashes and don't want their eyelashes to get clumpy. So the effect that you get from applying 2 coats of this mascara is still gonna look nice and natural. Girls that are digging that natural no-makeup look, you'll love this Tarte mascara. It's the bomb.com.

Below is a comparison picture of one eye with 2 coats of the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara. Whereas, the other eye is just mascara-free! Look how gorgeously separated my lashes are. And they look so much more nicer.

So i give the Tarte Lights, Camera, LASHES Mascara a 10/10 rating because i LOVE it and it is my holy grail mascara for now and (probably) forever! :)

Excuse my makeup free face. I just came back from the airport. And ain't nobody got time for makeup when you're travelling! On my face is the Tarte Lights, Camera, LASHES mascara and MAC Enchanted One lipstick :)

Till the next post then. Thank you for reading!
